It's the Good Liverpool Wellness Week!

We understand how vital it is to look after our wellbeing, especially at the moment. It is time now, more than ever, to look after the mental & physical health of not only ourselves, but our family, friends & neighbours.

Which is why we have launched our very first Wellness Week!

We have teamed up with some of our city's best health & wellbeing businesses to bring an amazing week full of exercises, healthy food, yoga and self-care!

Throughout the week, we will have interviews from local businesses and healthy recipes to keep you feeling fresh.

Monday 11 January - 3D Health Club

 

3D Health Club was founded by Saeed Olayiwola on the back of over a decade's experience in the health industry. This included delivering, managing & consulting on projects or voluntary, private & statutory organisations including local authorities & the NHS. With 6 separate qualifications under his belt, Saeed is the man in the know when it comes to keeping you and your family fit and healthy!

Saeed and the 3D team have created a unique, holistic health & wellbeing environment, offering bespoke one-to-one personal training & rehabilitation, fun high-energy fitness classes, both hot & non-hot yoga, pilates, remedial messages and physiotherapy.

Tuesday 12 January - Wellness Garden

 

Susie Ferry created the Wellness Garden to form a space where she could help people rehabilitate their mind and body. With over 21 years experience working in numerous gyms as a fitness instructor, personal trainer, sports massager, Reiki therapist, Pilates and yoga teacher.

"I found the importance of helping people become aware of their day to day movement patterns and injury histories is just as important as acknowledging your mental and emotional state, as our state of mind has a huge effect on our bodies physically and chemically."

The Wellness Garden allows Susie Ferry to bring together her 21 years of knowledge of anatomy, rehabilitation, mindfulness, movement, group teaching and personal training into smaller, more personal classes & private sessions.

Wednesday 13 January - Yogacita

 

Lucita Fernandez started Yogacita after falling in love with the discipline of yoga and all of its possibilities. Having discovered yoga in Barcelona, she found hot yoga when she returned to the UK.

The Yogacita studio has been created to provide the perfect environment for this purpose, allowing people to lose themselves in the incredible healing practice of yoga. 

The studio has been designed to support this process, everything from lighting, to music and even the smells, are in place to help you let go of all the stresses and strains of everyday life.

Join is at 10am on Wednesday 13 January for a yoga session that will have you feeling fresh for the rest of the week! We had an amazing interview with Lucita Fernandez on everything Yogacita and Liverpool, check it out here!

Thursday 14 January - Mamafit UK

 

Mamafit has been devised as the perfect way to keep active at home! Helping the mothers of Liverpool to strengthen their muscles, stay healthy and get fit for the challenges of pregnancy and motherhood.

Funded by the Liverpool City Council and Liverpool Women's Hospital, they deliver free antenatal and postnatal exercise classes to women in Liverpool.

Join us at 11am on Thursday 14 January for a 30 minute HIIT session hosted by Rob. This session is perfect for everyone from pregnant mothers & new mothers to fathers & kids. Be sure to get involved, whether you're just getting started or an expert in the gym, this is the perfect class to get the blood pumping and the body sweating!

Friday 15 January - Yoga Bumps & Babies with Jenni Jones

 

Jenni Jones has taught yoga since 2000. The birth of her son in 2004 inspired Jenni to specialise in pregnancy yoga and then going on to train as a doula/birth assistant. 

“I hope that in my classes, women are welcomed and supported and celebrated to be simply themselves. The only thing I ask is that we gather with open hearts and minds and a willingness to let go and take space to be just that...true to ourselves.”
